I am very pleased to share some photos I took last weekend for my neighbour Kate. I remember a little while ago she told me “I wish I could freeze my family in time right now” and now I completely understand what she means: her children aged 6, 9 and 10 are just great and interact so well together, making the photo shoot really fun.
We went to our local wood and they came up with their own ideas for the shoot, here are some of my favourites:

Sorry the blog has been a bit quiet lately, that’s because we’ve been away on holiday! This year we decided to try Brittany, I have always wanted to go there so we finally made it happen! I am from Avignon in the south of France and us people from the south are notoriously bad at French geography, but that’s just because we never need to travel
As I am slowly becoming more British every year and the kids don’t do very well in the heat we thought Brittany would be ideal: good food, beautiful scenery, beach and easily drivable. We stayed in Benodet after a couple of stop overs in Normandy.

I had a really fun session last weekend in London with Serge and Cristina and their lovely daughter B. She was full of beans and full of smiles which was perfect for the lifestyle shoot Serge and Cristina were after. We spent some time in the bedroom at first, pretending to go to sleep (for about 1/2 second) before waking up again and jumping on the bed, read some books and then went out to the local park for a play in the sunshine.

Mandie received a gift voucher for a photo session last Christmas and I was really looking forward to this shoot – it is a little bit different from what I usually do as Mandie’s son and daughter are young adults. The session was a breeze: no tricks or bribes required to get my models to pose for me this time
Mandie specifically asked for black and white shots and I think it works really well on these portraits. Here are some of my favourite shots from the session.

I first met Lyn and her children last year as our daughter were attending the same ballet classes. She is such a genuinely lovely person that I was delighted to photograph her family last weekend. We had fun playing hide and seek and running around in the local park, here are some photos of big sister G who is 5 and her playful 3 year old brother J.

With their 1 year old twins and 3 year old boy Liz and Richard really have their hands full! They are such a lovely family and I had the pleasure of photographing them a couple of weeks ago in their St Albans home and we made the most of their amazing garden.

Here are some photos from a session with our great friends Helen and Jason and their two beautiful children. This is Helen’s (long overdue) birthday present from me, so Happy Birthday Helen!

I had the great pleasure of meeting Neil and Cheryl for the first time back in February for a session with their baby daughter.
This time it is Neil’s mum who commissioned me to photograph her two sons’ families, especially capturing the lovely relationship between the two gorgeous little cousins. Here are my favourites from the session.

Last week my friend Niels and his two gorgeous children came to visit me in St Albans. Niels and his family had been living abroad for several years so it was the first time I had the chance to meet his son B aged 4 and daughter P aged 2, such great kids! We went on the “bear hunt” in the local woods and had fun exploring!
Here are some of my favourite shots from our little adventure in the woods:

Here are a few photos of last week’s shoot with Zita and David and their gorgeous 3 months old baby P in London. P was such a sweetie, full of smiles and seemed to enjoy posing for the camera.
Of course we also included the second child of the family, hairy and friendly Theo!
