Family Portraits in Welwyn

I had the great pleasure of meeting Neil and Cheryl for the first time back in February for a session with their baby daughter.

This time it is Neil’s mum who commissioned me to photograph her two sons’ families, especially capturing the lovely relationship between the two gorgeous little cousins. Here are my favourites from the session.

Contemporary Family Photography in Berkhamsted

I love it when everything comes together for a good shoot. Last Saturday the weather was just right: nice and warm but not too hot with just enough clouds to gently cover the bright sunshine. This together with an overgrown garden as Clare and Leo were in the middle of moving into their new house were a great set up for some fun family shots. The children (cool big brother J and super cute little sister R) were excited to run around in the garden, look for frogs in the pond, play with mum and dad and generally be happy!

I had such trouble narrowing down my favourites that I thought I would include them all, it’s my blog so why not!

Hertfordshire baby photographer

We had a really fun session with Sheena and Darren on Wednesday, their gorgeous baby H was delighted to be wearing just his nappy for the session and was really showing off for the camera, making us all giggle with his excitement and cuteness. He also practiced his sitting, nearly there! Here is a selection of my favourites from the day.

St Albans newborn photographer

I am always very excited to meet newborn babies a few weeks after doing the pregnancy photo shoots and today was no exception! It was a real pleasure to see Marisha again with her husband Mike and their new arrival baby A. Only two weeks old and very alert, she’s such a lovely baby and I get the feeling she’s going to be a real daddy’s girl. Here are a few shots from this morning’s session:

and finally some well deserved rest…

Baby photographer in Borehamwood

When I arrived at Chris and Danielle’s house, 5 month old baby A was just finishing her morning nap. As we tip toed into her bedroom, she woke up with a lovely smile and made my heart melt with her beautiful blue eyes, what a treat! She was a great model and I can’t wait to see how she’s grown for our next session at the end of the year.

Baby photos in Welwyn

Neil got a gift voucher for two photo sessions as a Christmas present to his lovely wife Cheryl. We did the first session this morning, P. was all smiles and loved posing for the camera, until she got fed up, cried for about two seconds and fell fast asleep in her mummy’s arms, what a doll! I can’t wait to photograph her again around her first birthday…

Baby and toddler portraits in Wheathamstead

I had the pleasure of photographing Claire and Tony’s boys this month. The plan had been to take a few photos outside but it was very cold and full of snow so we opted to stay inside, and got the boys in their nappies! They were quite excited to be allowed to play on their parents beds and we had a lovely time seeing K. giggle as he was poking his belly button. I love those simple moments, pure joy!

Baby portraits in Hitchin

I met Nadia, Wes and their little boy in November to do some baby portraits just in time for Christmas. The whole family was a great pleasure to photograph. We went to the loft room to make the most of the skylights, here a a few of my favourites from the session, including some lovely father and son shots.

Bump to Baby photography in Park Street, Hertfordshire

I love doing the Bump to Baby packages, meeting parents just a few weeks before the baby arrives, and again once the baby is born.

Emma and Chris are such a nice couple and it was a pleasure to meet them before and after the birth of gorgeous baby Alfie. The bedroom with its bright pink wall was a great backdrop for the pregnancy photos. For the newborn shots, black and white was used for timeless father and son portraits.

Here are a few of my favourite shots, including a surprise visit from the family cat!
