Family photographer Jersey Farm

I first met Lyn and her children last year as our daughter were attending the same ballet classes. She is such a genuinely lovely person that I was delighted to photograph her family last weekend. We had fun playing hide and seek and running around in the local park, here are some photos of big sister G who is 5 and her playful 3 year old brother J.

Child portraits in St Albans

When Helen opened her front door we both knew we had met before, and it’s not really surprising as there is rarely more than 1 or 2 degrees of separation between St Albans mums and our boys are the same age. After a minute we both remembered where we met: fighting over the same scooter while volunteering at last year’s NCT sale, oops!

We had a really lovely session first at home and then we walked over to the nearby nunnery (with the family cat in tow!) 2.5 year old G was in a playful mood and led us through a little adventure in the woods. The portrait session is a present for Father’s Day next week so if you know G’s dad don’t spoil the surprise!

Sunshine!

“Sunshine!” shouted 2 year old L, very excited about being able to run around wearing her summer dress in a beautiful sunny day. So much so that she didn’t really have much time to stop and pose for some photos! Here are  some of the action shots I managed to capture of the very cute sisters L and A last Sunday morning.

Here is a sneak preview of this week’s photo session with Sarah and Paul’s family in St Albans. Two year old big brother O was in a happy and playful mood, a pleasure to photograph. My favourites of this session also include some lovely parent and baby shot of their lovely daughter A, only 5 weeks old.

Baby Photography in Broxbourne

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Effie and Stuart, a lovely couple from Broxbourne. Last year they received a photography package voucher as a Christmas present from their family to capture moments with their gorgeous baby daughter T.

Despite the drizzle we managed to shoot some photos outdoors as well as indoors. Here are my favourites, including baby T looking like a ballerina posing mid-air before being (safely!) caught by her daddy.

St Albans Family Portrait

I had a lovely time yesterday morning photographing Leire and Graham’s family in their beautiful St Albans home. Their boys ages 3 and 1 were so much fun and great with the camera. I got the opportunity to practice a bit of Spanish as the boys are bilingual, they also sang songs, bounced on the beds, gazed at the clouds from the loft room and enjoyed cuddles from mum and dad.

I had a hard time picking my favourites from this session, here they are:

Baby photographer in St Albans

I had a really nice session on Monday with Rebecca and her family. Baby E was such a natural with the camera and seemed to enjoy the whole experience with all those kisses and cuddles with mummy and daddy. The large window in the bedroom provided a beautiful soft light which was perfect to show off E’s beautiful features and babyness.

St Albans newborn photographer

I am always very excited to meet newborn babies a few weeks after doing the pregnancy photo shoots and today was no exception! It was a real pleasure to see Marisha again with her husband Mike and their new arrival baby A. Only two weeks old and very alert, she’s such a lovely baby and I get the feeling she’s going to be a real daddy’s girl. Here are a few shots from this morning’s session:

and finally some well deserved rest…

Baby photography in Welwyn Garden City

Here are some photo of gorgeous baby Eric (named after a famous Frenchman – can you guess whom?). His teeth were bothering him but he still handled the photo shoot really well and I am so pleased with how the photos have turned out. Here are a few of my favourites:

Newborn photography in Bushey

Today’s blog entry is about a shoot I did on Friday with baby E (just 12 days old!) and big brother F. Their parents Gary and Vicki are such a nice couple and the session was very relaxed. When I arrived 16 month old F was having his midday nap so we started with some nice newborn shots in the master bedroom.

When F woke up he wasn’t sure about me at first but he warmed up in no time and before you know it he was showing off for the camera, playing on mum and dad’s bed. He was so much fun to photograph with his big blue eyes, what a cutie!

Here are my favourites from the session, Happy Mother’s Day Vicki!
