Family Portraits in Welwyn

I had the great pleasure of meeting Neil and Cheryl for the first time back in February for a session with their baby daughter.

This time it is Neil’s mum who commissioned me to photograph her two sons’ families, especially capturing the lovely relationship between the two gorgeous little cousins. Here are my favourites from the session.

Pregnancy Photography in Stevenage

One of the things I really love about my job is that no two shoots are the same. I take the photographs in people’s homes, in their own environment, and I love the variety and the challenge of producing the best possible images for my customers. Last week I had the pleasure to meet body-art lovers Kim and Richard.

Kim is only a few weeks away from giving birth, looks beautiful and I really wanted to show off her tattoos. Here are some of my favourites from this shoot, including some posing smiles from their cute dog.

Here are a few photos from last week’s session with cute baby L and his lovely mummy Sonia. He was such a big boy at just 5 weeks old holding his head up, I just loved his dark hair, dark eyes and pouting lips!

I had the pleasure to photograph Fiona’s family this morning. Fiona booked a session with me to produce some portraits as a present for her grandmother. Two year old O. had a great time singing songs, hopping on the bed and playing outside in the puddles with Jojo the family dog.

Here are a few of my favourite photos from this morning’s session:

I was so spoilt this morning as I got to photograph two truly beautiful children and their lovely mum Aibilin. Mum and kids all have the same hair colour, so photogenic! Aibilin was after  some photos of the three of them to put up in their new house but I could resist taking a few extra ones of the children on their own and 7 year old N. loved posing for me with her amazing wavy hair and beautiful smile.

I had a hard time narrowing down my favourites so here is a whole bunch for you:

The bump to baby session are often booked by first time parents but it’s always really nice when there are older siblings involved too! Here are some photos from last week’s fun session with Ruth from Mishmash Music and her family as they are expecting their second child. What a treat to photograph Bump and his big brother’s big bright eyes! The skylight in the colourful family room provided some lovely light for a really natural look.

Neil got a gift voucher for two photo sessions as a Christmas present to his lovely wife Cheryl. We did the first session this morning, P. was all smiles and loved posing for the camera, until she got fed up, cried for about two seconds and fell fast asleep in her mummy’s arms, what a doll! I can’t wait to photograph her again around her first birthday…

Sisters portraits in St Albans

I met Karen last year at a shopping evening where she bought a voucher for a session in January. I was looking forward to meet her daughters and I was not disappointed! They were really sweet, very excited about the photo shoot, showed me around the house and were happy to pose together for some sisterly shots. Very often the challenge with children over five is to get a natural smile and not their rehearsed “photo smile” but we got there and their beauty really shone through!

Bump to Baby photography in Park Street, Hertfordshire

I love doing the Bump to Baby packages, meeting parents just a few weeks before the baby arrives, and again once the baby is born.

Emma and Chris are such a nice couple and it was a pleasure to meet them before and after the birth of gorgeous baby Alfie. The bedroom with its bright pink wall was a great backdrop for the pregnancy photos. For the newborn shots, black and white was used for timeless father and son portraits.

Here are a few of my favourite shots, including a surprise visit from the family cat!
